All-on-4 implant treatment – restoration of the entire jaw
In the following article, we will explain what this treatment method is, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. The main idea is the rapid restoration of chewing function and aesthetics – within just a few days. No bone grafting or sinus lift is required. This is metod from Palo Malo.
All-on-4 implant treatment is a method in which the entire dental arch of one or both jaws is restored. Such treatment is needed by patients who have almost all or all teeth already removed or are about to be removed. These can also be patients who already use complete dentures.
Usually, the treatment goes through three main stages:
1. First visit:
All remaining teeth are removed, four dental implants are placed and an impression is taken for the manufacture of temporary bridges.
2. After 4–5 days:
The temporary bridges are fixed, which restore aesthetics, speech and chewing function.
3. After about 3 months:
The temporary bridges are replaced with permanent structures.
During the first three months after the implants are placed, it is recommended to avoid solid foods. After the permanent bridges are placed, there are no significant dietary restrictions.
Advantages of All-on-4:
• Fast and predictable method;
• Reliable restoration of the entire jaw without the need for bone grafting;
• Aesthetic and functional results, close to natural teeth;
• Significant improvement in quality of life, self-esteem and health;
• Lower cost and shorter treatment time compared to classic implant solutions.
Important to know:
All-on-4 treatment is not a cosmetic procedure! The decision to apply it is made after a careful analysis of the condition of the existing teeth and only when all other restoration options have been exhausted.
Slight discomfort may be felt in the first few days after the intervention, but it is usually overcome relatively easily and depends on the individual characteristics of the patient.
