The veneers are porcelain flakes 0.3-0.7 mm thick that adhere to the front surfaces of the teeth after minimal or no cutting. They have a very good and long lasting aesthetic result. Compared to direct restorations, the effect is longer-lasting - porcelain is inert, has no exchange with saliva, retains its luster after years.
Gluing of veneers
Photopolymer or composite cement similar to photopolymer is used for bonding the veneers. All rules apply to aesthetics, especially insulation with cofferdams - a good dentist would definitely use it when fixing veneers.
Facet treatment is performed in several visits
On the first visit, the doctor analyzes the teeth, the bite and the ratio of the mouth, and fingerprints are taken.
On your second visit, the veneers are already made of wax on a plaster model, and with your approval, the dentist reproduces them with a composite in your mouth. This will allow you to evaluate how the future porcelain veneers will look like. The cutting is done through a temporary photopolymer using silicone wrenches as a guide - thus minimal or no tooth extraction. An imprint of the teeth is taken to make permanent veneers in a laboratory.
On the last visit, the veneers are cemented permanently. Support instructions are mandatory. The procedure is used for teeth darkening after root treatment, in the presence of a broken tooth, slight orthodontic defects, at the distance between the teeth, at the removal of the gums, and in the presence of empty spaces between the teeth and gums, or in the case of changes in the shape of the teeth.
